In the Japanese education system, a professional training college is placed as "a higher education institution," which is the same position as a university and junior college.

The title of "Diploma" for students who have completed more than 2 years of training term (more than 1,700 school hours) and the title of "Advanced Diploma" for students who have completed more than 3 years of training term (more than 3,400 school hours) are granted.
